On July 4, 1973 the Simon family founded NOMIS Golf Course which was was a 9-hole facility until July 4 of 1999.
In 1994 the sons of Charles Simon had a dream of developing the course and property into a 18-hole facility. They brought in Barry Serafin to help design and develop the course.
That dream became Kyber Run Golf Course, with rolling terrain, uniquely designed holes, 16 bodies of water spread out on 170 acers . Kyber Run is a great challenge for all different skilled players with 4 different sets of tees.
Kyber Run Is still owned by the Simon family today.

Since 1921, the USGA Green Section has published information on the proper maintenance and upkeep of golf courses. Published under various titles, the Green Section Record magazine, which many consider the authoritative voice on golf course management, debuted in May 1963. In July 2010, the print publication changed to a weekly digital magazine offering the latest information on golf course management, turfgrass culture, environmental issues, research, and economic sustainability.
